Diet Secrets from the Oldest Man in the World

Here’s an interesting story that I picked out for my readers today. If you have a few minutes… I think it can be very informative you want to know how to live longer… Two-meal diet aids in oldest man’s longevity.

Here’s the scoop. This gentleman, Walter Breuning just turned 113 years young on Monday. And he is now the oldest man in the world. And Walter is from Great Falls, Montana.

So the newspaper asked Walter what was his longevity secret? Of course we all want to know that!!

Walter said, when he turned 80… he started to only eat two meals a day. And although breakfast is his big meal of the day… he usually undereats the rest of the day. He eats lots of fruit.

And using this secret… he has maintained his weight for a very long time… he is about 5 feet 8 inches and 125 pounds.

Now, speaking for myself… I don’t think I want to live THAT long… but at the very least, I want to be mobile and without pain or serious medical conditions when I’m in my 70s- 80s…

If anything…

I used to have a neighbor before she moved out of state to live with her daughter… she was “only” 70… but she had cancer problems… brittle bones…

It wasn’t fun…

Yeah, she was a smoker and followed a bad diet and didn’t exercise much…

And that could be used for the majority of adults right now.

Lousy diet and little or no exercise.

I also think this is why so many people want medical care… they expect the doctors to fix them up. I call the medical field the “sickness industry.”

This is what they do… they fix you up so that you can continue to live with bad diet choices and lack of exercises…

That is no way to live because ultimately… the one person that is responsible for a long term healthy life is… (drum roll, please)…

YOU!!

The very best “doctor” in the house is you… and when you figure out the best diet choices and take up an moderate exercise and workout plan… and stick with it.

It becomes a lifestyle choice that enables you to possibly live painfree and mobile as long as possible.

And who knows? Maybe in 50 years or so… some newspaper will be interviewing YOU for the secrets to longevity!

later man,

Matt :)

P.S. Wasn’t it George Burns who when asked about how his doctors felt about his still smoking at 92 said: “I don’t know, they’re all dead!”?   ;)
