Is Coffee Healthy for You?

Is Coffee Healthy?

According to the latest studies… absolutely!

This is great news for anybody that loves drinking a cup of java each morning… But how is coffee healthy for you?

Well, a cup of coffee is supposed to have more antioxidants than a cup of blueberries. One study shows that even a cup of coffee each day can cut your risk for Parkinson’s disease in half. AND… coffee is full of healthful stuff such as magnesium, potassium and vitamin B3.

Cup of Coffee

This is all good so far… so why is coffee getting so much bad press?

Well, on top of my head… there are several reasons….

First of all, just like everything else… it should be taken in moderation. That means you should try to ONLY drink one cup of coffee max each day…

You shouldn’t add cream and sugar to your coffee. Those items can pack a punch and add fat to your body.

Artificial sweeteners may be dangerous to your health… it is a man-made chemical… so take them at your risk.

For me? Well, I get the whole beans from Costco… and they are organic… which means the farmers didn’t use chemicals. My understanding is that pesticides are heavily used in the coffee growing regions in Africa and South America.

So thanks, but no thanks to pesticide laced coffee for me.

And besides… I love to grind my own beans… use a single filter over a cup and percolate the coffee grinds myself with water that is “under-boiled.”

It makes a fantastic, rich cup of coffee that is healthful to boot. It is my only cup of coffee each day… so I can always enjoy and savor the coffee “high.”

Enjoy!
