Do Energy Drinks Work Or Do They Add to Our
Abdominal Fat...?
One of the most frequent
questions I hear at the gym is this... are energy drinks the
bomb? Do they REALLY give you lots of energy or is it just a
bunch of bs? And this is a good question due to the enormous
popularity of energy drinks.
And that popularity was
created by the brain trust of the smartest folks on the
planet... the marketers for the supplement manufacturers. I
don't admire them... I just know them...
And these guys will make all
sorts of outrageous claims about their particular brand of
energy drinks. About why the best energy drinks are
theirs... of course...
So... the real questions is
this... do they work? Do they help you lose weight? Are there
bad effects of energy drinks?
You see, these are the
questions you SHOULD be asking!
Here is the truth of the
matter... most if not all energy drinks have high frutose corn
syrup (HFCS), caffeine, and some vitamin B thrown in for good
luck.
Energy drinks are a guarantee
recipe that will make you FAT and make your abdominal fat
too!
For starters... HFCS is far
worst than refined sugar. It will go straight to your growing
midsection and some of us are wondering why they work so hard
and yet, they can never get a flatter stomach.
This is WHY!
But some energy drinks will
have artificial sweetener instead. That is just worst...
man-made chemicals that have no business in your
body.
Not only is artificial
sweeteners harmful to your body... it also has a psychological
effect of giving the drinker the false impression that since
they were "good," they can eat more food without
guilt.
Wrong!
And the next ingredient would
be caffeine... it is an absolute myth that caffeine gives you
energy. That is impossible! You see, energy can ONLY come from
the calories within your body which you get from consuming
carbs, proteins and good fats.
What caffeine DOES however...
is stimulate the central nervous system and gives you that
"pep" as you drink the caffeinated beverage. The drawback of
being a caffeine drinker is you will eventually have to drink
more and more to get the pop.
So what about those vitamin
Bs? Big hairy deal! You can get those way cheaper from a good
multivitamin.

The usual suspects of HFCS,
artificial sweeteners, caffeine and expensive source of B
vitamins... energy drinks are just a soup of chemicals that
does NOTHING for you if you are serious about losing body fat
and gaining muscles. Energy drinks put your health to risk. And
your wallet will get lighter. And you will have expensive
pee.
I don't know about you... but
I don't see any positives in energy drinks... do
you?
But I won't leave you
hanging... you can make your own energy drink! That is true!
