Of course you are!

So let's break it down in little chunks so it doesn't get all complicated as all get out. There are 5 major types of fat burning exercises. You can do the squatting, pulling, pushing, single-legged and total body ab exercises.

Whew! That's five of 'em and you should include all of them in each workout. Keep it simple and short. No more than thirty minutes and no more than 3 times a week.

Sound good so far?

OK!

And another thing about these five types of fat burning workouts is variety! You can create hundreds of different workouts. Now, you won't get so bored...

And what you will do is combined these into one big circuit training. For example, you could start off with a pushup exercise, then do some squats, then do a dumbbell rows, single legged exercise and then finish off with a flourish... a total body ab exercise.

Do about ten to fifteen of each exercise. Once you complete the circuit and if you are in moderate to good shape, you can repeat the circuit for one or two more times until you reach the maximum time of 30 minutes.

Good stuff huh?

And not to mention... downright easy. I always say simple is best and that certainly applies here I think!

So let's break each type of exercise down some more...

Squats - you are exercising the biggest muscle in your body. So it has the potential to work up and burn more calories. So forget those stupid situps or crunches... squats are more effective for burning fat.

My favorite is the bodyweight squats. You don't need any stinkin' weights. I love doing the prisoner squats. More advanced squats are the single legged squat. Those are hard but boy, they sure give your legs a great workout! Look at Youtube for examples of bodyweight squats that you can do.

The next one up is the pushing movements. Like... pushups! For some beginners, you can try the kneeling pushups. If you are in better shape, just a regular pushups. You can do wide stance or close stance pushups. You can do elevated pushups or decline pushups. There are literally 100s of different ways you can vary the pushup routine so it doesn't get boring.

The next type of exercise would be pulling exercises. Anywhere from chin ups to pullups... dumbbell rows for your back... and you could even use resistance bands too. Again, variety is key.

The 4th type of fat burning exercises is the single legged exercises. I like the lunges, split squats, step up and even one legged squats. Another exercise would be the lying hig extensions.

The last but not the least is the total body ab workouts. And I'm telling ya this... you do not have to do any more situps or crunches. Not only those exercises are unconstitutional... they are very ineffective for fat loss and besides... crunches can damage your spine. YIKES!

So what are they? Well, pland, side planks, core stability workouts with the stability ball, jackknifes, mountain climbers and numerous variations of the above.

There you go! You now know more than most folks how to create a very effective fat loss exercises program. You can try to do this yourself or just try one of the abdominal programs that I recommend. Either way, this is THE way to burn fat... so forget about those long and boring cardio machines or sitting around the gym wondering why you can't seem to lose the stubborn belly fat.
